The story of the faltering marriage of a young West Indian couple living in London. Tony and Rita have many problems, but they are caused by pressures from outside as much as by strains inherent in the marriage.
Sweet Talk, the first full-length play by Michael Abbensetts was joint winner of the Royal Court's 1972 award. It was presented at the Theatre Upstairs on 31 July 1973.
