Its publication marked the 25th anniversary of Bonhoeffer's trial and execution in the April of 1945. Dr Bethge, Bonhoeffer's pupil, friend, and relative hy marriage, talks to PROFESSOR DONALD MACKINNON of Cambridge about Bonhoeffer's progress from conformity. through pacifism, to conspiracy and eventual ' martyrdom'
