Paul Sexton charts the rise and fall of Coventry-based record label and music genre 2 Tone, whose spirited late-70s fusion of punk and Jamaican rhythms targeted the social and economic inequalities of the day. The enterprise was the brainchild of Jerry Dammers , whose band the Specials guaranteed a slew of hits alongside other 2 Tone acts the Selecter, Madness and the Beat, whose members provide interviews.
