Mike Harding presents extended highlights of the ninth Radio 2 Folk Awards, held on Monday at the Brewery in Spitalfields, London. Nominated performing acts include singer/ guitarist Martin Simpson , the Imagined Village (Chris Wood ,
Martin Carthy and Eliza Carthy ), Rachel Unthank and the Winterset and Scottish trio Lau. The event features special awards for English-folk revivalist Shirley Collins and Scottish singer/songwriter John Martyn , who performs live.
