Another chance to hear a January 2006 programme marking the 20th anniversary of the death of singer and guitarist Phil Lynott , who died of a heroin overdose at 36.
From 1969 Lynott famously fronted rock band Thin Lizzy , whose many 70s hits include Whiskey in the Jar, Jailbreak, Don't Believe a Word, Waiting for an Alibi and, most famously, the 1976 international hit The Boys Are Back in Town. Philomena Lynott , who wrote a biography of her son.
