Thirteen groups and solo artists from 11 countries gathered in the Nippon Budokan Hall in Tokyo last weekend, to take part in this 17th International Festival.
John Peel was there to report on the drama as Britain's Flaming Mussolinis tangled with Liu Xin Lu of the People's Republic of China and Indonesia's Secret Weapons, winners of the Jakarta Song Festival, tackled America's Stacy Lattisaw. Producer MIKE HAWKES
