(From Edinburgh)
As man understands more and more about the working of his own body and about the nature of all living things, the greater is the power he acquires to prevent disease. It should be possible, in the long run, with co-operation between all nations, to eliminate completely many diseases which still take heavy toll of human life. Today's talk will describe what has been accomplished so far, and will tell of the possibilities of the future.
