This programme consists of new orchestral versions of popular old Welsh songs. The orchestrations have been carried out by several well-known musicians, including Idris Lewis , the conductor and new Music Director of the Welsh Region of the BBC. Before Mr. Lewis joined the BBC he was Musical Director of Daly's Theatre for twelve years and for some time was associated with the British International Pictures at Elstree.
