Dr. C. DELISLE BURNS , D.Litt. (Stevenson Lecturer , in Citizenship in the University of Glasgow): The Woman's Movement'
LAST week Dr. Delisle Burns reviewed the changes in conventions that the last thirty years have produced. In his talk this evening he outlines the history of the Woman's Movement, a primary cause of those changes. Modern conditions have caused women to form definite organizations for specific purposes. Women's Institutes are signs of the times. All over the world, indeed, women are playing a larger part in public affairs.

NEWTON LEES (Baritone)
F this once popular opera of Auber, one of the best of all
Opera Comique composers, only the Overture is now played. There are four bars of stirring prelude, and then the clarinet has a wistful little tune which the woodwinds and strings together carry on. That is followed by a broad melody for strings and horns, repeated by the whole orchestra, and then a more vivacious movement follows with two light-hearted tunes alternating one with the other. They are interrupted more than once by a tender melody played first by strings and woodwinds together, but the mood of the Overture grows in energy to finish on the whole strength of the orchestra.
