The strain of waiting for her operation has caused Mrs. Freeman to be rather irritable with Mrs. Dale. Gunnel has not been so cheerful since she returned from Sweden. Jenny has contacted her agent about more work. She has also discovered the twins know all about Jawo's ' Poltergeist ' in the stables and is rather cross. Bomber has foruotten to tell Judy he is Koing off on a weekend course, and they have had a row. Judy has taken a brooch Bomber nave her to a London jeweller to sell it. While there she met a Major Napier, and they have had tea together.
