Harvey Hichens and Tony Coppard introduced to Sally a new designer called Hildegarde Drake , who will design the cheap hats Harvey is intent on marketing. The Dales arrived at Kings Acre for the weekend, and found they had been asked to Grandfather Dale 's wedding to Flora McGussie. Fulton bought a tape-recorder. On Thursday, Mrs. Dale had a telegram from Henry saying he was returning from Italy overnight and wanted to see her urgently next morning.
