David Vine introduces live coverage from the Crucible in Sheffield of the closing frames in the world championship final. After 17 days of competition, 31 matches and in excess of frames of snooker, a maximum of 11 frames this evening will decide who is crowned the world champion in front of a sell-out crowd that includes many ofthe game's great players.
Last year, Ken Doherty contradicted the form book with a conclusive 18-12 victory over Stephen Hendry , in the process breaking a 29-match winning streak by the Scot, who was seeking his seventh title.
