A Credit to Switzerland?
Credit Suisse is the latest Swiss bank to have a financial scandal.
Until a few years ago it was believed that there was nowhere safer or more private to put your money than in a bank in Switzerland. But in the last seven years 28 of Switzerland's banks have run into difficulties. No one can tell how much money has been lost, or how much confidence in Swiss banks has been undermined.
In The Money Programme John Roberts investigates the Credit Suisse affair and examines how safe a Swiss bank account is today.

To Blazes with School!
Two small girls were fed-up with school -so they burned it to the ground. A boy who hated his head-master reduced his school to ashes.
The disturbing truth is that children as young as eight have deliberately fired thousands of schools in Britain. The cost runs into millions and education authorities now say they are in a state of war with the juvenile fire-bugs.
A report from the war-zone that could be at the end of your street.
