A Girl Named Eudora
Eudora Quartey - Ghana
Like the other girls of this series, Eudora is middle-class and privileged. But in Ghana, as in most of Africa, the privileged cannot turn their back on the rest of society. The extended family system sees to that. So the girl who attends the Australian High Commissioner's cocktail party or goes to watch her fiancée at the Accra Polo Club must return to her village. Here people are poor.
Film cameraman NIGEL MEAKIN Film editor BERNARD ASHBY Producer RICHARD TAYLOR
Series editors ANTHONY ISAACS and CHRISTOPHER PARSONS
