This special documentary, the story of an expedition to Kenya by a group of young winners of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, is also the story of the spread of the Award scheme throughout the world.
Thirty-four young people from 16 countries, including Fiji, New Zealand, Ghana and the United States, joined forces last summer in a demanding programme of activities which included climbing Mount Kenya and work on a community building project in the remote Saburu country.
In a prologue to the film THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH outlines the philosophy and aims of the Award he created 16 years ago.
