In whole fields of medicine technical progress in treatment and biological research are advancing together.

In this age of space travel and highspeed flight man is entering a hostile environment for which his body has not been adapted by evolution. Research in Aviation Medicine has the job of determining the reactions of the human being to these new stresses and finding the means of protecting him in these strange conditions.
