Dr. P.L. Mollison, Director of the Blood Transfusion Research Unit (Medical Research Council) introduces a programme showing some of the uses of blood and its derivatives in modern medical and surgical practice.
The programme includes a demonstration by Dr. Margaret Mackay of the processes used to extract and dry the various constituents of blood.
