5.30 Men's 800m final. Is Yuriy Borzakovskiy on track to add to his Olympic title? At Athens, the Russian surged from fifth place to snatch a surprise victory from South Africa's Mbulaeni Mulaudzi.

5.55 Women's 1500m final. With Olympic gold medallist Kelly Holmes out of action, a strong Russian contingent led by former 5,000m champion Olga Yegorova should be in the frame.
