The latest news from the worlds of science, medicine and technology.
Tonight, Tomorrow's World meets the Italians who are immune to heart disease. The small town of Limone on Lake Garda is home to people who can eat whateverthey like without running the risk of heart disease. A protein that these villagers produce means that as fast as they pile the parmesan on their pasta their bodies break down the harmful cholesterol. Now doctors are tryingto duplicate this protein in the hope that it will help to protect us all from killer heart diseases.
Plus, the man who is so determined to smoke that he has designed himself a hat that doubles as a smokehood. He claims that it lets him smoke freely without pollutingthesurroundingairfor the non-smoking majority.
