In this Australian family film, young Orville is obsessed with vintage aeroplanes, but the local kids won't let him join their gang and fly models. Then he stumbles on an old man, Harry, who happens to have a wrecked Tiger Moth in his shed near the docks. Orville resolves to spend his summer vacation helping Harry, who is at first suspicious of him, to restore the vintage aircraft.

During the Second World War
Private Kelly captures a German major and takes him back to his sergeant, Big Joe. All Big Joe wants to know is where the best hotels and women are, but Kelly has discovered that their prisoner knows the whereabouts of$16 million in gold hidden in a French bank behind enemy lines. Together Big Joe and Kelly recruit the oddest platoon in the army to drive in and out with the loot. But for Kelly's heroes it just can't be that easy!
