The citizens of the budding holiday resort of Ticlaw,
Florida, are up in arms when a massive new motorway leaves them without an exit road for their tourists. Led by their mayor, Kirby T. Calo , the townsfolk begin a campaign to get one constructed.
Meanwhile, across America, the most unlikely collection of characters, including car thieves, two bungling bank robbers, a songwriter, a nun, a pimp and a rhmo are all heading along the freeway for Miami -and into the tourist trap prepared by the townspeople of Ticlaw.
