A lot goes into a royal tour that the Queen doesn't see.
On the eve of her next tour, this impressionistic documentary presents an unusual sideways glance at the Queen's recent visit to Jamaica, the United States and Canada. It reveals sights and sounds that would normally go unrecorded. The Jamaican Prime Minister's six-year-old son, Michael Caine 's beautiful wife, a fashionable Hollywood sculptress, a fervent member of the Monarchist League and a band of Kwakiutl Indians are among the rich supporting cast. There are problems of etiquette, menus, rain and how to feminise a Presidential Suite.
Over the air come music, local reports, home-spun poetry, hamburger and hotel commercials, all providing an unsolicited and lively accompaniment.
