Her Majesty The Queen takes the salute on Horse Guards Parade, London, to mark the occasion of her official birthday.

The parade is the tribute by the Household Division to their Sovereign and Colonel-in-Chief, and is the most complex and spectacular military event of the year. The Queen's Colour of the 1ST BATTALION, GRENADIER GUARDS is being trooped. The parade, by tradition, is in five parts:

The eight Guards and Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry are inspected by The Queen. The Troop by the Massed Bands, Corps of Drums and Pipes and Drums of the Guards Division.
