Brigadier Julian Thompson an ex-boxer and a professional soldier from the age of 18, led 3 Commando, Royal Marines in the Falklands. After a highly successful campaign, the Land Forces Commander, Major-General Jeremy Moore , singled him out as ' man of the match'. That success has brought JULIAN THOMPSON promotion to Major-General, and tonight he talks to DAVID DIMBLEBY at the Marine Headquarters in Plymouth about a lifetime of soldiering-in Suez, Aden and in the Falklands.
