Paisley Jean Caskie , MBE, a widow, is virtually paralysed by multiple sclerosis and has been confined to hospital for 25 years.
Despite her handicap she has developed her hobby of painting designs on pieces of china which she gives as gifts and sells to raise money for the hospital.
She told James O'Hara her story - however, illness prevented her from joining the choirs and congregations from all over Paisley to sing her favourite hymn in the magnificent Paisley Abbey.
