Small town Truro, Florida, has a veneer of genteel respectability veiling more torrid passions. The aristocratic Weldons live on Flamingo Road - the right side of the tracks. On the wrong side is Lute Mae's bar, used by the local back-room power-brokers.
Boss of Truro is Sheriff Titus Semple who entangles everyone in his corrupt web of intrigue in his lust for power.
Into this closely-knit community comes the strikingly beautiful Lane Ballou, and suddenly everything Titus has been working for seems threatened.
