Omnibus takes an epic journey into the mysterious and beautiful sound world of Karlheinz Stockhausen.
For nearly 30 years Stockhausen has been the most controversial figure in contemporary music, and his influence has reached even into the experiments of pop musicians.
Our journey goes by way of Paris in 1952, Heathrow Airport, the Expo 70 exhibition, the poetry of the Song of Solomon, Goonhilly Down tracking station and into the far reaches of space itself.
He who catches the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise.
(William Blake)
