Hollywood's spectacular view of life with the British 27th Lancers opens in India in 1850 and follows their adventures until the heroic but disastrous ' Charge of the Light Brigade' in the Crimean War. The film was one of the most expensive made in the 1930s and gave Errol Flynn one of the most colourful roles of his career.
