The first in a season of films featuring the world of the unknown starring Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, Leslie Nielsen and Robby the Robot

AD 2200: a space cruiser is sent to the planet Altair-4 to investigate the fate of the spaceship Bellerophon, lost 20 years before. Altair-4 proves to be inhabited by the only survivors, Dr Morbius, his daughter Altaria and their robot servant. Morbius refuses to return to earth to reveal the planet's secrets.
