The British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship
The night British Boxing has been waiting a long time for.... with the controversial Danny McAlinden at last defending the British and Commonwealth titles he won against Jack Bodell back in June 1972. His opponent tonight is the eloquent Jamaican-born challenger from Birmingham, Bunny Johnson.
Commentary on the whole of tonight's 15-round fight at the Civic Hall, Wolverhampton, by DESMOND LYNAM with inter-round summaries by HENRY COOPER.
