Olympic Grandstand

Synopsis

We have produced a Style Guide to help editors follow a standard format when editing a listing. If you are unsure how best to edit this programme please take a moment to read it.
An important night of track and field action from Athens as the 28th Games near their end, with a round-up of other events reaching their denouement.
7.00-8.55 Athletics The women's track events form the climax of the evening, while the women'sjavelin final is also taking place.
7.00 Men's 4x400m round one. The British quartet will be looking to continue their successful record in the event.
7.30 Men's 110m hurdles final. US veteran Allen Johnson
should be a strong contender for the gold.
7.50 Women's 10,000m final. Ethiopia will be hoping to prolong their recent run of success in the 10,000m, a race in which world champion Berhane Adere will be among the favourites.
8.45 Women's 4xl00m final. The fleet-footed French squad are aiming to add Olympic gold to their world title.
8.55 Football/Hockey/Boxing Highlights of the men's football bronze medal match, as well as the men's hockey final and action from the boxing semi-finals.
