Kurt Weill escaped Germany as the Nazis' net was closing around him. But leaving Germany wasn 't just a reaction to the impending threat from the Nazis - Weill's marriage was breaking up. Today Donald Macleod traces the course of Weill's flight from Germany, his stay in Paris and his journey to America.
