Synopsis

The Spanish Gardener byA.J.CRONIN dramatised by MICHAEL ROBSON with After his marriage breakdown, Harrington Brande hopes that the appointment to a new consular post in Spain will help him and his son Nicholas to start life afresh. When Brande engages the services of a young Spanish gardener, Nicholas is attracted to him. The consul sees his monopoly over Nicholas threatened by the gardener's infectious zest for life.
