Synopsis

Action from the second run which decided the medals in the women's giant slalom, at Nakiska, just outside Calgary. A report, too, on the Nordic team event, in which today's relay race was combined with yesterday's 70m ski jumping to determine the winning nation. Plus ice hockey from the medal round, and news of the compulsory figures in the ladies figure-skating championship.

Alex Dickson v Steve Boyle Unbeaten Alex Dickson of Larkhall defends his British Lightweight championship against fellow Scot
Steve Boyle in a match which has captured the imagination north of the border.
Tonight's fight, at the Scottish Exhibition Centre in Glasgow, is scheduled for 12 rounds. Plus a look ahead to Saturday's world title bout in Belfast - the return match between DAVE MCAULEY and FIDEL BASSA.
