Drew Barrymore Ten-year -old Elliott finds a new friend: he's short, dark and from another planet. The young boy wants to help his new buddy - "ET" - who is being hunted by government scientists. The creature realises that he cannot survive for long in the earth's atmosphere and must "phone home" to his own kind so they can rescue him.
One of the biggest box-office successes of all time, the movie won three oscars. It mixes laughter and tears, thrills and special effects to create perfect family entertainment.
