Why are an increasing number of parents choosing to educate their children at home, instead of in a conventional school? Vickie who 'unschools' her daughter and Callie Vandewiele who was home educated in the US and is now completing her PhD at Cambridge University discuss the merits along with Dr Helen Lees, Reader in Alternative Education Studies at Newman University in Birmingham.

Women's economic empowerment in the developing world comes at a cost, according to new research in India, Nepal, Rwanda and Tanzania carried out by the Institute of Development Studies. Deepta Chopra, Lead Researcher of the IDS report, joins Jane to discuss the global findings and the policy changes needed if global gender equality is to be achieved.

Sondra Perry is a visual artist, using video and post production techniques to highlight race, oppression and internet culture. Her first solo exhibition, Typhoon Coming On, opens at The Serpentine Galleries in March.
