The Big Performance
Ten shy children who love to sing but are terrified of performing in public are put through their paces by choirmaster extraordinaire Gareth Malone. Having already worked his magic on a tone-deaf town, reluctant schoolboys and wayward teenagers, Gareth attempts to build the youngsters' fragile confidence and turn them into singing stars capable of performing in front of a massive crowd - 40,000 people at London's Proms in the Park.
The Big Performance tour bus heads south to Bournemouth, where the nervous group of ten young singers take on soul music, singing the Michael Jackson classic Can You Feel It. They have only ever sung in front of each other before, but now they must perform as a group to their first ever audience. It's a huge challenge for the ten terrified singers, but for Katie and Annabel the pressure is really on, as Gareth has picked them to sing a solo each.
To help prepare his young singers for their biggest challenge yet, Gareth secures the help of soul-singing superstar Craig David to make them connect with the lyrics, and the group get their bodies really moving with the Love Soul Choir. With nerves and fear threatening to ruin the show for one of his novice singers, can Gareth get them back on track in time for their big performance? Show less
