PGA Championship from
Wentworth. Zimbabwean Tony Johnstone took the title last year after a final round of 65 put him two shots clear of Jose Maria Olazabal. This year another strong line-up will contest the championship, which includes such previous winners as three-times Open champion Nick Faldo ,
Seve Ballesteros , Ian Woosnam and Bernhard Langer , the new US Masters champion.

Badminton
World Championship Team
Event from Birmingham. South Korea defend their team title which they won in Copenhagen in 1991. Indonesia, runners-up two years ago and winners in Jakarta in 1989 are again expected to challenge strongly, led by All-England champions Heryanto Arbi and Susi Susanti , but England are also in with a chance. Commentary by Barry Davies .
Water-Skiing
Carlsberg European Masters from Kirtons Resort Country Club near Reading - Europe's premier water-skiing event. The top men and women will compete in tricks, slalom and jumps to determine the overall Masters champion. Today,
Britain's Philippa Roberts , the overall champion last year, will be competing in the women's slalom and jump categories. Talented British youngsters Corrina Williams, 17, and Nicola Huntridge , 18, also hope to make an impression.
