Synopsis

Stanley Kubrick's chilly horror, starring
Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall. When aspiring writer and recovering alcoholic Jack Torrance takes on the job of winter caretaker at the remote Overlook Hotel, Jack's wife Wendy hopes he will finally find the time to write. But their psychically gifted son Danny has visions of the terrifying ordeal that lies ahead for the family. Review page 43.
