The Broadbents are the luckiest people. They have plenty of money, a charming home, they are devoted to one another..... Imagine a large sunlit room, Jots of flowers, good furniture, charming pictures. Broadbent has just come back from the city; he crosses the room to the long French window that opens on to the garden, and calls to his wife.
