The Virginian tries to vindicate a friend, Kyle Lawson , who is on a murder charge. He is accused of slaying the husband of Leona Kelland. Lawson convinces the Virginian that the beautiful widow is the most logical suspect, and asks him to prove it. However, once under her charm the Virginian finds that he would rather she remained innocent than guilty
