Glynnis O'Connor After young Lucas Keller is shot dead trying to get from East to West Germany,
Peter Strelzyk becomes determined that he and his family will escape. With the help of his son's physics textbooks Peter devises a bold plan - to cross the border by hot-air balloon. Having persuaded his friend Gunter to join him Peter sets about constructing the craft. This exciting Walt Disney adventure tells the true story of two families who risked their lives in a desperate bid for freedom.
