Phil drops a bombshell, and time is running out for Dennis and Sharon as New Year festivities continue.
Writer James Payne For cast see pages 124 and Repeated at 10pm on BBC3 Omnibus next Sunday

Soap EastEnders - 8pm BBC1

Phil orders Dennis to go and confront Johnny about the murder of Andy Hunter. At the club, Dennis and Johnny's feud turns violent when it leads to Dennis brutally beating him up. Meanwhile, he is later murdered outside in the Square by Danny Moon, who was hired by a beaten Johnny. He sends Danny to kill Dennis as his revenge for his near fatal beating.

SOAP EastEnders 8.00 pm BBC1
The one place you don't want to be living at Christmas is Albert Square. It's when all the most awful things happen. In fact, with disaster and doom lurking around every street corner, the council ought to declare the place a festive-free zone. They should certainly ban the singing of Auld Lang Syne in public. So, as Walford lurches towards the new year, brace yourself for some shocks.
We've already seen several major characters leave the soap in the past few days, and there's another sudden departure tonight. (Jane Rackham)

About this project

This site contains the BBC listings information which the BBC printed in Radio Times between 1923 and 2009. You can search the site for BBC programmes, people, dates and Radio Times editions.

We hope it helps you find information about that long forgotten BBC programme, research a particular person or browse your own involvement with the BBC.

Through the listings, you will also be able to use the Genome search function to find thousands of radio and TV programmes that are already available to view or listen to on the BBC website.

There are more than 5 million programme listings in Genome. This is a historical record of the planned output and the BBC services of any given time. It should be viewed in this context and with the understanding that it reflects the attitudes and standards of its time - not those of today.

To read scans of the Radio Times magazines from the 1920s, 30s, 40s and 50s, you can navigate by issue.
