Synopsis

Live coverage as the final results of the 2005 general election are announced, the winning party leader travels to Buckingham Palace to see the Queen, and the new Government is formed.
David Dimbleby and the team return bleary-eyed to reflect on last night's frenetic political action. Jeremy Paxman grills the winners and the losers, while Andrew Marr keeps abreast of the developing political stones.
