Five Live Sport

We have produced a Style Guide to help editors follow a standard format when editing a listing. If you are unsure how best to edit this programme please take a moment to read it.
Mark Saggers presents an afternoon of live sport, featuring football and cricket. With just three weeks of the Premiership season remaining, today's matches could prove critical. Including at 12.45pm commentary on the north London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. And from 3.00 John Murray hosts Five Live's Saturday scores service from one of the day's other games, which include Charlton Athletic v Sheffield United, West Ham United v Everton, Watford v Manchester City, Liverpool v Wigan and Rangers v Hearts.
And at 5.00 Sports Report, featuring players and managers with speedy reaction to the day's big games. And at 5.15 full commentary on Manchester United v Middlesbrough, from Old Trafford. Plus regular reports from Barbados, where West Indies play host to England in the final match of the Cricket World Cup's Su-per Eight phase.

About this project

This site contains the BBC listings information which the BBC printed in Radio Times between 1923 and 2009. You can search the site for BBC programmes, people, dates and Radio Times editions.

We hope it helps you find information about that long forgotten BBC programme, research a particular person or browse your own involvement with the BBC.

Through the listings, you will also be able to use the Genome search function to find thousands of radio and TV programmes that are already available to view or listen to on the BBC website.

There are more than 5 million programme listings in Genome. This is a historical record of the planned output and the BBC services of any given time. It should be viewed in this context and with the understanding that it reflects the attitudes and standards of its time - not those of today.

To read scans of the Radio Times magazines from the 1920s, 30s, 40s and 50s, you can navigate by issue.
