'Farewell to Daventry'

The new Midland transmitter at Droitwich will start its service tomorrow. Tonight Mr. Percy Edgar , the Midland Regional Director, will give a brief reminiscence of 5GB, and will call up Mr. F. N. Calver , Engineer-in-Charge at Daventry, who will refer to the fact that from now on Daventry will be solely devoted to the Empire service. Mr. Calver will call up Droitwich. Mr. C. W. Skinner, Engineer-in-Charge there, will speak, and announce that everything is in readiness for the first programme from the new Midland transmitter at Droitwich tomorrow.
