FREDERICK STONE (pianoforte) Loeillet, the Belgian flautist-composer of this Trio Sonata, was a Londoner by adoption. Just over a couple of hundred years ago he was organising in his house in Covent Garden weekly concerts at which amateurs were allowed to show what they could do. One thing that was remarkable about him was that he made a fortune by music.
