The speaker tonight is the well-known engineer and economist; he has been a major in the R.F.C. and the R.A.F., and Assistant Superintendent of the Royal Aircraft Factory. But Major Douglas is best known as the expounder of the social credit system, which has come to be known as the Douglas Scheme, by means of which he claims that our economic problems can be solved.
The late Mr. Oragc, in his last talk, explained what it is that Major Douglas has to put before the world.
