When Laura Breckenridge finds that her late husband stole a quarter of a million dollars in gold bars from the Denver Mint, she is determined to save the family name by returning the gold before its theft is discovered. And that is why Sam Whiskey finds himself diving into the Platte River with an inverted coal-scuttle on his head!
