...continues a season of films starring one of Britain's most accomplished screen actors. Today with Jean Simmons.
Paris 1889. Victoria Barton and her brother arrive for the Great Exhibition. But during the night, Johnny mysteriously disappears and the hotel owners claim he - and his room - never existed. In desperation, Victoria turns for help to the handsome young painter George Hathaway. This richly atmospheric film was one of Bogarde's earliest successes and established him as one of Britain's leading actors.
